DESIGN FOR A WHIST-BOX.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,740, dated October 19, 1897. Application filed September 7, 1897. Serial No. 650,853 Term of patent '7 years.

To (all whom, it may concern:

Be it known that I, FREDERICK LIxEs, of \Vaterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Duplicate-W'hist Boxes; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specilieation,and represents in perspective View a box embodying my design.

This invention relates to a design for d uplicate-whist boxes; and it consists in the confign ration as heroi nafter described,an (1 shown in the accompanying illustration.

The box A is rectangular in form, and above the edges of three sides of the box projects a flange I The box is divided into four equal sections, each of which is subdivided by a series of partitions C, the partition of each section extending at right angles to the partitions in the next adjacent section, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
