SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,356, dated December 1, 1896.
Application filed October 27, 1896. Serial No. 610,231. Term of patent 14 years.
1'0 all whom it may COILUUI'll/I Be it known that I, CHARLES 1i. snrrn, ol. New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Snap-Hooks; and I do hereby deelare the following, when taken in connection 3 with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in
Figure 1, a perspective view of a snap-hook embodying my invention; Fig. 2, a top view of the same; Fig. 3, a top view of a hook also embodying the design.
This invention relates to a design for snaphooks; and the design consists in the configuration of the hook as herein described, and shown in the accompanying illustrations.
As herein shown, the design consists of a hook A, shank l3, and loop L, the sides of the shank above the plane of the eye being connected by a bar 1), which, as shown in Fig. 2, may be formed in two parts, or may be an integral bar, as shown in Fig. I).
The essential feature of the design is abar extending across the space between the side walls of the body, and beneath which the l spring extends.
