THEODORE J. PALMER, OF IIACKENSAOK, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A CHAIR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,185, dated October 13, 1896.
Application filed August 20, 1896. Serial No. 603,421. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, THEODORE J.'PALMER, of IIackensack, in the county of Bergen and State of New Jersey, have invented and mo duced a new and original Design for a Chair, of which the following is a specification.
Figure 1 of the drawings represents a side View of a chair of my design. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the same.
In a chair embodying my design the arm presents in side profile a scroll form. At the head of the scroll, facing toward the front of the chair, is arosette a. The footof the scroll, terminating nea the level of the seat of the chair, is convoluted, as shown at b. The inner side of the arm is straight and so is the lower part of its outer side, but the upper part of the outer side is swelled outward, as shown at 0. Along the inner and outer sides of the arms, following the contour of the scroll, is a narrow fillete, which is continued into the convolutions at b, and which is studded at intervals throughout its length with small round studs d d. The face of the lower part of the front of the arm is corrugated, as shown atfin Fig. 2.
That I claim is- The design for a chair as herein shown and described.
