WILLIAM ll. BOTlllYELL, OP PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A BOWING-CLASP FOR WINDOW-SHUTTERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,781, dated July 14, 1896.
Application filed May 28,1896. Serial No. 593,510. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lte it known that I,\VILLIAM It. lto'rn WELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at the cit of Philadelphia, in the count of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for \Vindow-Shutter Bowing-Clasps, of which the following is a speeiticatiml, reference being had to the accompanying draw: ings, forming part thereof, and in which- Figure l is a side elevational view ofa window bmvingelasp, illustrating my design; and Fig. 3 is a front View of the same, these two views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate m y design.
The leading feature of my design consists of awindow-sliutterbowing-clasp havingthe two substantially parallel straight panels, both merging at one end in a circular or ring- Shaped enlargement, and one of said panels terminating at the other end in a gooseneckshaped enlargement projecting upward in a plane over the square-shaped end of the other panel.
Referring to the drawings, A and U are the two straight panels arranged parallel with each other. These two panels terminate at one end in a ringshaped enlargement D, the periphery of which extends above and below the upper and lower faces of respectivelythe upper panel A and the lower panel B. The opposite end E of the panel Ais substantially square, while the corresponding end of the panel B terminates in a gt'ioseneck-shaped enlargement 1 projecting upward in a plane extending over the square-shaped end of the panel A.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a window-shutter bowingelasp, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my signature in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
