DESIGN FOR A BOX.

lie it known that I, WILLIAM B. VAN 1mnm', a eitizen of the United States, residing intheeityof Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Boxes, of which the following is a specification, referenee being had to the accompanying drawings, in whieh Figure 1 represents a top or front VlOW of a box of my design, and Fig. 2 represents a section in the line 2 2 of Fig. 1.

My design consists in a novel form and confignration of the partitions which divide the box into compartments. The external form of the box as represented is quadrangular. It eontains straight partitions (1, represented as of a depth less than that of the box and extending between two opposite sides. On

opposite sides of each of these partitions are shorter partitions b of how form. Similar partitions of how form are arrzmged against those sides of the box with which the straight partitions are parallel, the box being thus di- Yided into eompartments A A and I; l the end portions of the said compartments A A being square and their sides Contracted toward each other in curved form and the compartments l 13 each being of the form of a segment, one side being straight and one side curved.

\Vhat I claim is lhe design fora box, substantially as herein shown and described.
