DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,625, dated August 20, 1895.

Application filed July 15,1895. Serial No. 556.084. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Beit known that I, CHARLES FREDERICK GEDNEY, residing at Brooklyn, county of Kings, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and originai Design for a Pattern to be IVrought into W'ilton and other Carpetings, in such coloring as may be designed; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any one skilled in the art ot' car pet weaving and manufacture a clear understanding of the same, and is suiieient to enable such persons to use my invention.

The design consists ot' the body A and the border B.

The body A is decorated with a series of diamond-shaped figures of dierent styles outlined by a continuous narrow band.

The border B shows near the inner edge, in groups, the same diamondshaped figures zo and band-outline as in the body, and near the outer edge at intervals appearlarge figures of rosette form with wavy bandwork.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isz5 l. In a design for carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for carpets, consisting of the 3c body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
