Description

DESIGN.
B. A. VERBEOK. MONEY CHANGE STAND.
No. 24,422. Patented June 25, 1895.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EUGENE A. VERBEOK, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESlGN FOR A MONEY-CHANGE STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,422, dated June 25, 1895.
Application filed November 2, 1894. Serial No. 527,782. Term of patent '7 years.
To aZZ whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EUGENE A. VEEBEoK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cool: and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and originalDesign for Money-Change Stands, of which the following is a specification.
The accompanying drawing represents my design for a money change stand consisting of the bowl body A, of substantially oval form and having its general outline rounded. Upon the surface are embossedthe configurations and fancy ornamental scroll work as illustrated. The bowl is supported upon a base B, the upper portion of which is circular in outline and the lower portion which isintended to rest upon the table, counter or other support, is provided with irregular and fanciful conformations. Upon opposing sides of the bowl are arranged the two small figures or cupids O 0 who appear to be supporting the bowl in their uplifted arms while standing upon the base.
Arranged at the narrow ends of the bowl are the delivery chutes D D or means for delivering the change, which means I have designated as hands. They are representations of hands shown as partly open and with the palms downward. ithin the palm of each hand is held a hollow cup or chute through which the money passes. The eitect thus produced is that of real hands delivering change to persons placing their hands therebeneath.
The whole arrangement and relation of the parts above described presents an artistic appearance and pleasing effect to the eye of the observer and one that is harmonious and at once distinctive.
I claim The herein described design for a money change stand, substantially as shown in the accompanying drawing.
EUGENE A. VERBECK.
