DESIGN FOR A CHAIR-IRON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,289, dated May 7, 1895.
Application filed April 6, 1895- Serial No. 544,823. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDWARD G. WATKINS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Gardner, in the county of Worcester and State of Massachusetts. have invented and produced a new and original Design for Chair-Irons, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawinns, showing a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of a chairiron, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view of the same on the line 2 20f Fi 1, these two views being deemed necessary to fully illustrate my design.
The leading features of my design consist in a chair iron of a general polygonal shape provided at one end with a plug (a and at its other end with a plate (a) joined together by standards ((1 integral with said plate and plug, but spaced from one another, said plate and plug being provided with apertures, the
sides of the aperture in said plug being formed with symmetrically arranged projections.
