DESIGN FOR A BUCKLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,981, dated January 29, 1895.
Application filed November 26, 1894- Serial No. 530,052. Term of patent '7 years.
To aZl whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, FRED C. RUFFHEAD and WALTER F. ANTHONY, citizens of the United States, residing at \Villiamsport, in the county of Lycoming and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a co rtain new and original Design for aBnckle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a plan or face view of the buckle, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation.
Our design consists of a part A having a central solid portion 1 with lugs 6 at its ends, a slotted loop 2 and a slotted loop 3,1;he ends of the loops being rounded and projecting beyond the ends of the intermediate solid portion, and a tongue 4: extending from thelower edge of the loop 3 midway of its length and bent into a hook having a return portion 5; and a part B having a tongue 7 which extends to the return portion 5 of the hook and is then bent sharply downward in the direction of the tongue 4 as shown at 8.
We claim- The design for a buckle substantially as shown and described.
