SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,897, dated December 25, 1894. Application filed October 23, 1894- Serial No. 526,76 3. Term ofpatent 14 years.

To all whom it may con-corn:

Be it known that I, FREDERIC WILLIAM BARTHMAN, J r., a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, Kings county, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Box, of which the following is a description.

In the accompanyingdrawingsforming part of this specification-Figure 1 is a perspective View of a box illustrating my design. Fig. 2 is a like view of the same, looking in another direction; and Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section of the same (on line 3-3 of Fig. 2) showing the cover removed.

The characteristic features of my design consist in a box having its cover and body of the formation of the crown and body of a cap of essentially the configuration and representation shown in the accompanying drawings, and a closed bottom surrounded by a groove.

In the drawings, A is a band extending almost the entire height of the box and forming the body thereof from the lower edge of which projects the peak-like ledge C.

B is the cover of the box having the form of the crown of a cap with a panel 11, and ridges b.

D is the bottom of the box surrounded by a groove d What I claim is-- The design for a box, substantially as shown and described.
