DESIGN FOR A LEAD-PENCIL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,211, dated April 24, 1894.
Application filed March 22. 1894:. Serial No. 504,728. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, FRANK MOINTYRE, of Brooklyn, in lx'ings county and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Lead-Pencils, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a. perspective view, and Fig. 2 is a cross section enlarged of a lead pencil embodying the design.
Under myinvention the exterior surface of the pencil sheath which incloses the lead is subdivided into figures a of parallelogram shape, between which intervene sunken lines 1) extending spirally around the sheath, and I5 intersecting sunken straight lines 0 extending lengthwise of the sheath.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for alend pencil as herein shown 20 and described.
