wmvsssfs UNITED STATES PATENT QFFICE.
CHARLES SO'ISCIIECK, OF NEW YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO FRANCIS KEIL dc SON, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A DOOR-PULL OR ANALOGOUS ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION fOImiDg part. Of Design N0. 23,139, dated March 20, 1891.
Application filed November 11, 1893- Serial No. 490,699. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES SOTSGHEOK, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for a Door-Pull or Analogous Article, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accomnying drawings, forming a part thereof.
My design relates to the ornamentation of door pulls and such articles as are used by builders on doors, bar fixtures, and other parts of a. building, especially such parts as the hinges, door pulls, knobs, escutcheons, and the like.
The figure is a front elevation of a door pull, showing my design.
The leading features of my design are the stem-like figures projecting from the plate and terminating in figures similating oak leaves, the coils encircling the stem-like figures and the scrolls on the edges of the plate. The pull has the usual fiat plate 9, which may be of any desired shape, and at its side edges it is turned up to form the scroll-like figures 12, while at its ends it terminates in stem-like figures 13, these having at their outer ends figures 14, which simulate oak leaves. The stem-like figures 13 have entwining them, coils 15, these projecting also from the ends of the plate. The pull has a handle 16, the ends of which terminate in coils 17 which lie flat on the plate 9 and harmonize with the coils 15, being similar but somewhat closer.
From the above description, it will be clearly seen that the plate itself forms no part of the design and that the ornamentation referred to as forming the leading features may be applied to various kinds of hardware.
I claim- The design for a door pull and analogous articles herein shown and described.
