DESIGN FOR A VENTILATOR.

SPECIFICATION forming part 6f Design No. 23,030, dated January 30, 1894.

Application filed December 13, 1893. Serial No. 493,586- Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, STEPHEN 3'. BROWN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Ventilators, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, showing in a single figure a view in perspective of a ventilator embodying my design.

The ventilator comprises a vertical cylindrical shaft A-, surmounted by an end-flange 13-, a. hood C, and shield D, having the edge-flanges D--. The flange and hood are so shaped and placed relatively to each other, as to form parts of a spheroidal body, and are inolosed by the shield D-- having the edgeflanges D'. The shield has the form and appearance of the rim of a flanged wheel.

The device, as an entirety, when seen in side elevation has the form and shape of a spheroidal body mounted upon the upper end of a vertical cylinder and inolosed by the rim of a flanged wheel, the axis of the rim being vertical, and the spheroidal body projecting above and below the rim.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a ventilator herein shown and described.
