DESlGN FOR A CASING FOR PUMP-GOVERNORS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,953, dated December 5, 1893.
Application filell September 21, 1893. Serial No. 486,138. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, GEORGE I. ROBERTS, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Casing for Pump-Governors, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
The design consists in the special shape of the pump governor casing, the main body being cylindrical on its vertical axis and provided with a horizontal dividing joint and projecting flanges and top and bottom crown lugs, also the prismatic projection at the side of said cylindrical portion, substantially as shown and described.
Referring to the drawings, Figure 1 represents a vertical elevation of a pump governor casing embodying my new design. Fig. 2 represents a plan view of same looking from above.
Similar letters of reference designate like parts or portions in both figures.
The pump governor casing consists of a main chamber A, cylindrical in shape and set on its vertical axis and rounded at the ends; upper horizontal dividing joint and projecting flanges a, a; top and bottom crown lugs b, b, and of the prismatic projection C, extending in a horizontal direction from, and perpendicular to the axis of the main chamber A.
