SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,974, dated December 19, 1893.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN A. RIEPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of New York, county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Billiard-Cue Handle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which represents an elevation of a billiard-cue provided with my newly-designed handle.

The leading feature of my design consists of a billiard cue handle provided with a set of longitudinal corrugated ridges, the corrugations of one ridge breaking line with the corrugations of the adjoining ridges.

The letter A represents the handle of a billiard one, provided with longitudinal ridges a, each made of undulating form. That is to say, each ridge is alternately raised and depressed, so as to be provided with a set of eqni-distant peaks a The peaks of any one ridge are placed midway between the peaks of the adjoining ridges, so that the whole presents a very rich and pleasing efiect.
