lie it known that I, Fmxcis (7. Korzxiu, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, having resided in the United States one yearlast past anddeclared my intention of becoming a citizen thereof, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original I)csign for the Base of a. Lamp, of which the followingis a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The leading feature of my design for the base of a lamp is the scroll thereof in tiers.

In the drawing: A designates the base of a lamp, consisting of the tiers 13,0, I), of

scrolls. The upper tier II is formed of the scrolls It, 1*), which face each other. The central tier is formed of the scrolls l and (I, the upper portion of the scrolls I entering between the scrolls It. The lower tier l) constitutes the legs, and is formed of the scrolls II which extend from the scrolls G, and are connected by the scrolls .1, which extend from the base of the scrolls I What I claim is- The design for the base of a lamp, substantially as shown and described.
