SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,179, dated January 31, 1893. Application filed November 28,1892- Serial No. 453,423. Term of patent 3% years.

* To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, J EAN PIERRE GELAS, of St. Etienne,Department of Loire, France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern for Textile Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

The pattern shown is intended for button stock.

The figure is a plan view of a strip of button stock showing my design.

The leading feature of my design is the butt0nlike figure which is produced upon the stock,and which consists of intersecting bandlike figures, each figure being composed of parallel strands. The strip of stock 10, has the button-like figures 11 produced at intervals thereon, each button-like figure being made up of right angled intersecting band- 20 like figures 12 and 13, each composed of parallel strands, while between the band-like figures 12, and apparently wound around the band-like figures 13, are short bands 14, the shorter band-like figures 14 being also produced at or near the outer portions of the band-like figures 13 and outside of the bandlike figures 12. The groundwork of the button-like figure has a hatched appearance, the lines running mainly at angles to the bandlike figures 12 and 13.

I claim- The design for a pattern for textile fabrics herein shown and described.
