DESIGN FOR A TOY GUN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,431, dated March 29, 1892.
Application filed February 8, 1892. Serial No. 420,791. Term of patent 7 years.
To cvlZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD R. IVES, a citizen of the United States, residing at Bridgeport, in the county of Fairficld and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Paper-Cap Toy Gun; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying to drawing, forming a part thereof.
The leading feature of my design consists in a toy gun of peculiar configuration and of surface ornamentation, as hereinafter described.
In the accompanying drawing, 1 denotes the barrel; 2,the stock pro-per; 3, thegrip portion of the stock, and 4 the capseat. The stock proper 2 has on its surface panels 8, adapted to receive suitable inscriptions, and
between these panels scroll-work ornamentation 9. The grip portion 3 of the stock is in its outline extended below the stock proper and has its rear end rounded in outline, and the central portion of said grip portion has on its surface an ornamental panel 10, oblong in shape and irregular in form and containing a suitable ornamental figure. The capseat 4 is depressed below the upper outline of the barrel, the latter being of ordinary form.
I claim The design for a toy gun, substantially as shown and described.
