Description

DID-37. OR D 21s288 EX DESIGN.
J. G. DUBBER. WATCH CASE.
No. 21,288. Patented Jan. 12,1892.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN C. DUEBER, OF CANTON, OIlIO.
DESIGN FOR A WATCH-OAS E.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No 21,288, dated January 12, 1892. Application filed November 16, 1891. Serial No. 412,089- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN C. DUEBER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Canton, county of Stark, State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Design for \Vatch- Cases, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification.
This invention relates to a new design for watch-cases, as shown on a case of bassine form.
Figure 1 is a. view in perspective of a watchoase, showing my design; and Fig. 2, a similar View of the edge of the case.
The lids A are circular in their outer contour and present a smooth open field, as shown. On the rim B is shown extending from the front lid to the back or reverse lid a series of alternating grooves or scallops B, the grooves converging as they approach the edge of the plane surface of the lid A, and smooth ribs 0, the latter diminishing diametrically as they approach the lids, thus showing a series of alternating smooth-surfaced scallops B and smooth-surfaced melon-shaped ribs 0 extending over the oval sides or margin of the case from the front to the reverse lid.
The leading features of this design are the smooth lids A, the converging grooves or scallops B, and the ribs C, which diametrically diminish as they approach the lids.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for watch-cases, as herein shown and described, the same consisting of the smooth lids A, the converging grooves or scallops B, and the ribs 0, which diametrically diminish as they approach the lids, as set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 10th day of November, A. D.
J OIIN C. DUEBER. Witnesses:
