DESIGN FOR A SCARF-PIN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,508, dated February 10, 1891.
Application filed December 26, 1390. Serial No. 375,862. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
13o it known that I, EDWARD P. BEACH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Esscxand State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Scarf-Pins; and I do here by declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which itappertains to make and use the same, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Referring to said drawing, the same represents a front elevation of my newly-design ed scarf-pin, and the one View is deemed sufficient to fully illustrate my design.
The leading feature of the design consists in the peculiar conformation of the head and body of the pin, which is in the form of a scroll or spiral a, the thread of whiehis round in cross-section and tapers gently to and ends in the body of the pin b, which gradually tapers to the point, as indicated in the draw 111G.
