SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,443, dated November 26, 1889.
Application filed October 30, 1889- Serial No. 328,707- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, GEORGE SBARKENTIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hart-ford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and origiii'al Design for a Latch-Case, of which the following is, a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front elevation showing my design. Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof, and Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the upper part of said case on the line x m of Fig. 2.
The leading feature of my design consists in series of raised parallel beads arranged in block-like groups, and in raised rectangular blocks intermediate said groups.
A A are the sides of the latch-case, and B the top, the bottom being of the same design as the top. Both of the sides are provided with a vertical bead 3 at each edge and a double bead 4 parallel to the head 3, but nearest to the edge which forms the face-plate of the case. Between the double head 4 and the nearest head 3 there are raised vertical beads in block-like groups 5, and intermediate therewith are plain raised blocks or squares 6. The middle ones of theblock-like groups of vertical beads in the top and bottom groups are broken by the screw-holes 7,
around each of which screw-holes is a raised head 8. The top and bottom edges are of a similar design, having the block-like groups 5 of parallel beads and intermediate rectangular blocks 7. The top and bottom are convex, and are let in between the sides A A, as shown in Fig. 3.
hat I claim is 1. The design for alatch-case herein shown and described, the same comprisingthe sides A A, having vertical heads 3 3 and 4, the said sides, top, and bottom having the block-like groups of parallel raised beads and intermediate rectangular blocks, as set forth.
2. In the design for a latch-case herein shown anddescribed, the side A, having vertical edge beads 3 3 and intermediate double heads 4, the block-like groups 5 of parallel raised beads, and the raised rectangular blocks 6, as set forth.
