CHARLES TRAVIS I-IUPP, OF NEW MARKET, VIRGINIA.
DESIGN FOR A WlRE-FENCE-TWISTING DISK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,308, dated September 10, 1889.
Application filed July 9, 1889. Serial No. 316,960% Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES TRAVIS HUPP, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Market, in the county of Shenandoah and State of Virginia, have invented a new and useful Design for a Twister for Wire-Fence Machines, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to a new and original design for a twister for wire-fence machines.
The drawing is a perspective view of a twister showing my design.
The leading feature of the design is the circular or disk shape of the twister, having the perforations and notches shown. A circular or disk-shape twister B has a pivot-perforation b and peripheral grooves or perforations b, arranged at equal distances from the perforation b, and provided with countersunk or beveled edges b and the said perforations b have openings extending transversely across the periphery of the disk. The disk I) is provided with a central opening I) and similar smaller openings 1), arranged in the form of an equilateral triangle around the central opening.
What I claim is- The new design for a wire-twister, comprising the disk having the perforation b, the peripheral perforations or grooves 12, having countersunk or beveled edges b the central openi ngs b and the triangular-arranged openings b, substantially as described.
