SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,141, dated June 4, 1889.
Application filed May 1, 1889. Serial No. 309,292. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, RUDOLPH STAUDINGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced anew and original Design for a Canister, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.
The drawing represents a perspective view of my canister.
The leading feature of my design consists of a globe resting upon curved legs and of a streamer extending across the globe and arranged in graceful curves.
In the drawing, the letter A designates the body of my canister, which is made in the form of a hollow globe the surface of which is marked with parallel lines a a and with meridian-lines b b.
B is the lid which fits an opening in the top of the globe, and the lower edge of which coincides with one of the parallel lines a. The
globe is provided with curved legs C C, the bottom ends of which are made in the form of rings 0 (1. Between the legs 0 C protrudes the spout D, the gate (1 of which is provided with an ornamental handle d.
The surface of the globe A is ornamented by a streamer E, which is arranged with graceful folds e e.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a canister herein shown and described, the same comprising the globe A, the curved legs a c, and the streamer E, with its folds e e, as set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
