To all whom it may concern:

Beit known that I, JoAcHIM Muertos, of New York, in the county and State of New York, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for Dress-Trimming, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact dcscription.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specitcation, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.

Figure 1 is a front view of a dress ornamented with my design, and Fig. 2 is a rear view of the body portion of the dress.

In carrying out the design, A represents a garment, upon the upper or body portion, A', of which a diamondlike figure, B, is represented, one portion, b, of the diamond ligure appearing upon the front of the body and the other portion, b', upon the back. The diamond-like figure B is formed of a series of cord-like lines formed in circular figures d, which figures are arranged in pairs to represent triangular igures,which figures are united to complete the diamond-like gure by another set ofcord-like lines, d', drawn to represent a series of connected circular scrolls arranged to represent a rosette. A series of balllike figures, di, are represented as dropping from the rosette-like figure, and below the balllike Iigures conical gures d appear, representing fringeless tassels.

Around the collar portion C of the garment a series of single connected scrolllikegnres, d, are drawn. The representation of the balllike and conical figures d and !a likewise appear at the back of the dress as dropping from one angle of the diamond figure.

In frontofthe dress,below the waist portion, one triangular' section, E, of the upper diamond-like figure is reproduced, including the ball and conical figures dL and di. At one diverging extremity of the said triangular figure E a straight scroll-like figure, E', is perpendicnlarly arranged, in imitation ofa gi rdlc, the figure being represented by grouping cord-li ke lines formed in circular figures d, asin the diamond-like figure, in pairs, one pair below the other,each pai r represent ed as connected. Be low the figures d, forming a part of the girdle` like figure, another set of cord-like lines are drawn,to represent a series of connected circular scrolls, e, arranged to representa. rosette. The girdle-like figure is completed by graduated ball-like figures e', represented as sus pended from the rosette ligure.

I claim- A design fordless-trmming,as shown in the drawings and set forth in the specification.
