Be it known that I, JEREMIAH P. HARRI- MA N, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Woonsocket, county of Providence, and State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Sun face ()ruamentatiou of Knitted Fabrics, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the aeeonr panying photographic illustration, forming a. part thereof, in which is represented a portion of a fabric with my invention appliedthereto.
My design is intended for application generally to all forms of knitted fabrics to which it is desired to impart an ornamental appearance; and it consists in a series of pairs of par allel stripes arranged diagonally of the fabric with respect to the successive rows or courses of loops composing the same, with a series of rows of quadrangular figures interposed between the adjacent pairs of such stripes, as shown.
In the photographic illustration the stripes are shown at A A, &c., and the quadrangular figures at B B, Ste.
The stripes A A, &c., are of substantially the form shown, and are arranged in pairs parallel to one another and disposed diagonally Serial No. 266, R813.

These figures are so disposed as to bring them into rows, which are arranged both parallel with and at right angles to the stripes A A, and are sufficiently numerous as to substantially cover the entire space between the latter.
