MASSACHUSETTS, ASSIGNOR TO THE DESIGN FOR A COLOR-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,127, dated February 22, 1887. Application filed January 90, li-B'T. Serial No. 224,956. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.
Be it known that 1, JOHN SPENCER CLARK, of Boston, in. the county of Suffolk, of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. have invented and produced a new and original Design for Color-Plates; and I do hereby declare the same to be described in the following specification and represented in the accompanying drawings, of Which-- Figure 1 is a top view, Fig. 2 a longitudinal section, and Fig. 3 a transverse section, of a color-p1ate in accordance with my design.
In its general form the article or color-plate is substantially rectangular, excepting on being recessed at one corner, and near there it has an elliptical hole through it. Along its outer edge the plate has a raised fillet or border, and in addition thereto the plate has struck up within it a series of rectangular 20 heads.
In the drawings the plate is shown at A, its external border or head at a, the corner notch at b, the hole at c, and the rectangular beadings at d d, &c.
I c1ain1- The design for a color-plate, substantially as shown and described, such plate being essentially rectangnla r, except in being recessed at one corner and having-a raised border along its edge, an elliptical hole near the recessed corner, and in the intermediate space surrounded by the said border a series of raised beads, each extending around a rectangular spaceor part of the plate, as represented.
