DESIGN FOR A CAKE OF SOAP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,588, dated March 23. 1886. Application filed December 22, 1885, Serial No. 186,500. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN E. SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of New York, in the State of New 5 York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cake of Soap, of which the followingis a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
10 Figure 1 is a view of one of the broad sides or faces of my newly-designed cake of soap. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the same in the plane indicated by the line was in Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists in I5 a prolate ellipsoidal concavity forming an elliptical outline within the contour of the faces of the cake.

What I claim as my invention is 25 1. The design for a cake of soap herein shown and described, the same consisting of the cake of soap having the prolate ellipsoidal concavity a a, forming an elliptical outline within the contour c c of one of the faces of the 0 cake.
2. The design for a cake of soap herein shown and described, the same consisting of the cake of soap having the prolatc ellipsoidal concavity a a and the surrounding convex 5 margin b b within the oblong contour c c of one of the faces of the cake.
