DESIGN FOR A PLAQUE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,973, dated June 12, 1883.

To all whom it may concern .1
Be it known that LWILLIAM H. BRowNELL, of Brooklyn, Kings county, New York, have invented a new and original Design for a Plaque, of which the following is a specification.
Figure 1 of the drawings is a plan View of the face of my plaque design; Fig. 2, a crosssectional elevation on line as at of Fig. 1.
The plaque consists of aplate or disk having a central concave background, B, of dull or roughened appearance, surrounded by an annular band, C, of smooth-appearing contrast ing surface, inclosed-by a peripheral bead, D.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
A design for plaques, consisting of a circular concaved plate or disk provided with an annular peripheral bead or flange, and having a central background within the concave, of dull or roughened appearance, surrounded by an annular contrasting surface of smooth appearance, substantially as described and shown.
