DESIGN FOR A TOY SAVINGS-BANK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,814, dated March 14, 1882.
Application filed February 4, 1882.
To all whom, L may concern:
Be it known that we, CHARLES G. SHEPARD and PETER ADAMS, J r., of the city of Buffalo, in the county of Erie und State of New York,
5 have invented and produced a new and original Design for Toy SavingsBanks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
1o This invention relates to a design for a toy savings-bank which has the forni of the head and upper portion of a human body, and which isprovided with an open mouth, through which the coins are introduced into the interior or i 5 cavity of the figure.
The accompanying drawing represents a pern spective View of our newly-designed toy bank.
The upper portion, A, of the figure represents the head of a negro whose mouth is wide 2o open, the open mouth being designed for the introduction of the coins into the interior of the figure. The lower portion, B, represents the upper portion or breast of the negro. The left arm C hangs down by the side of the body,
