DESIGN FOR A CIGAR-BOX.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,260, dated May 10, 1881.

Application filed March 22, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, ABRAHAM WINTER- BERG and MORRIS ROSENBERG, of New York city, county and State of New York, haveinvented a new and original Design for Cigar- Boxes, of which the following is aspecification.

This invention relates to a new design for cigar-boxes; and it consists in the new configuration of cigar-boxes hereinafter described.

The accompanying photograph illustrates a perspective view of the box, showing it filled with cigars.

On the photograph, Ais the box, rectangular in outward shape, and of the dimensions required by the size and length of the cigars with which it is to be packed. Two of the inner corners, B B, are rectangular. The two opposite inner corners are filled in with curved blocks 0 0, giving to that end of the box the 20 form of an arch. Directly opposite the center of the arch, from the face of the box midway between the two rectangular corners B and B, K projects toward the arch a central core, D, giving to the interior of the box the form of a 25 horseshoe, in which horseshoe-shaped interior the cigars E are packed, as shown in the accompanyin g photograph.

We claim as our invention- The design for a cigar-box, consisting of the 30 body A, curved blocks 0 O, and core D, all .5 arranged to produce a horseshoe-shaped cavity, substantially as shown.
