DESIGN FOR A WATCH-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,238, dated April 26, 1881.
Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY l'x'rEnMEvEn, of the city, county, and Stale of New York, have invented a new and Improved Design for \Vatch-(lases, of which the following is a hill, clear, and exact description.
In the drawing my newly-designed watchcase is shown by a side elevation.
VVateh-cases have heretofore been made to represent shells.
My invention relates to the configuration of such shell watch-eases at the bottom portiOll, where the two parts of the case are hinged to gether. The case is formed at the bottom with a rib projecting beyond the outline of the shell, so as to give a straight bottom line to the case.
A is the case, made in shell form, with scalloped edges, and formed at the base or bottom with a projecting rib, (I, having beveled ends I). The rib u is formed by a projection on each hall'ot' the case, and the surface may be ornamented in any desired manner.
llaving thus described my invention, [claim as new and desire to secure. by Letters Patent- The design for watch-cases, which consists in a scalloped shell having the straight rib or projection a at the base, as shown and de scribed.
