PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A HAT John Cavanagh, Norwalk, Oonn., assignor to Hat Corporation of America, Norwalk, Conn., a corporation of Delaware Application April 6, 1939, Serial No. 84,087

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, John Cavanagh; a citizen of the United States, residing at Norwalk, in the county of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Hats, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, and in. which:

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a hat embodying the design.

Fig. 2 is a fragmentary perspective View of the hat.

The dominant features of my design are illus- Term of patent 3% years trated in solid black lines on the drawing, and these comprise the brim portion of the hat, the outer edge of which is folded over on itself and stitched with relatively long and widely spaced apart, heavy cord stitching, the lower or underneath side of the brim being relatively smooth, while the folded over portion on the'upper side of the brim edge is bulged or puckered between the stitches as shown.

The ornamental design for a hat, substantially as shown and described.
