DESIGN FOR A CLOCK-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,110, dated January 11, 1881.
Application filed December 17, 1880. Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD L. MORRIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Clocks, of which the following is a specification; reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Arepresents a base or background in ranged to contain the works of a clock.
B B 13 represent a bicycle attached to or engraved upon the base or background. Upon the bicycle B is a figure, 0, representing a rider of the bicycle. The large wheel of the bicycle has figures or marks about its rim corresponding to the marks indicating hours and minutes upon a clock dial or face, and the small wheel is marked to correspond to the circle indicating seconds upon a clock-face. Shafts projecting through the background A connect the clock machinery with hands or pointers which mark time upon the wheels of the bicycle B.
What I claim is- 1. A design for a clock, consisting of a base or background, A, arranged to contain clockwork. aud faced with the representation of a bicycle, B.
2. Adesigu for aclock, consisting of a base or background, A, arranged to contain clock work, and faced with the representation of a bicycle, B, the Wheels of which bicycle are caused to serve the purpose of a clock dial or face.
3. A design for a clock, consisting of a base or background, A, arranged to contain clockwork, and faced with the representation of a bicycle, B, the bicycle being surmounted by a rider, 0.
