UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DESIGN FOR LADIES NECKWEAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,015, dated November 9, 1880.
Application filed August 26, 1880. Term of patent 3t years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ALBERT BACK, of the city, county, and State of New York, have in vented a new and Improved Design for Ladies Neckwear, of which the following is a speeification.
The object of my invention is to provide a new and original design in ladies ueekwear, of which the following is a description.
In the accompanying illustration specimens of my newlydesigned ladies neckwear are shown.
Aseries of loops, A A, of plain or fluted lace, tarlatan, or ribbon, B, are attached to a strip of ruehing, G, at or near one of the edges of the same. The upper ends of all the loops are to adjoin each other-thatis to say, the inner edges of a ribbon or band forming one loop are in contact on the top of the loop, and the outer edges are in contact with outer edges of the next loop.
The band or ribbon B may be of plain lacing,
or may have longitudinal or transverse stripes of different color, and may be plain, crimped, or fluted.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The design for ladies neclgwear herein shown and described, the same consisting of a row of loops of lace or ribbon attached to a strip or band of ruehiug, as set forth.
2. The design for ladies neckwear herein shown and described, and consisting of a row of loops of lace or ribbon attached to a strip of ruching in such a manner that the inner edges of each loop touch one another and the outer edges touch the outer edge of the next adjoining loop, as set forth.
