Application filed December 31, 1879. Term of patcnt14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HERMAN J AWORSKI, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Bell-Pulls; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in
Figure 1, front "iew of the lever; Fig. 2, front view of the plate.
This invention relates to a design for that class of bell'pulls known as lever-pulls; and it consists in the configuration of the plate, and also in its ornamentation, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
The body of the plate is in form of a parallelogram with a semicircular projection at top and bottom. At each side is a projection, the side of which is parallel with the side of the body, and at the center of each of these projections is a projection in form of a segment. The face of this plate is ornamented by a plain head around the outer edge, and
along the side projections is a series of points turned inward. The panel, as also the ends of the segmental projection at the side, is ornamented but this last ornamentation may be changed without departing from this dodesign.
The lever shown in Fig. 1 is correspondingly ornamented.
I claim-- 1. The design for bell-pull plate, consisting of the body in the form of a parallelogram with a semicircular projection at each end and a projection at each side parallel with the sides of the body, and from the center of each of these projections a segmental-sl1apedprojection, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
2. The design for bell-pull, consisting of the plate with a border on its face composed of a series of points turned inward, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
