Description

UNITED STATES PATENT OEEIcE;
RUSSELL WHEELER AND FRANK E. WHEELER, OF UTICA, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR COOK-STOVES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,4 19, dated January 29, 1878; application filed December 26, 1877. [Term of patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, RUssELL WHEELER and FRANK E. WHEELER, of the city of Utica, county of Oneida, and State of New York, have invented a Design for Cook-Stoves, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of our design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is made.
The photographic illustration shows a side and iront elevation of a cook-stove with our design cast upon the oven-door A, and forming a part of the same.
The first part of our design consists in a compound ornament, a a, composed of scroll, bead, and line work, as seen in the accompanying illustration. The exact shape of this compound ornament and the details of its configuration cannot be described, but are apparent upon an inspection of the above-mentioned photograph.
The second part of our design consists in an ornamental border-molding, c 0 00, which cannot be exactly described, but is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration. This border-molding is near to and parallel with the edge of the oven-door.
We do not limit the application of our compound ornament, or its combination with the ornamental border-molding, to any particular kind of stove, nor to any particular part thereof. We propose to use the said compound ornament either with or without the bordermolding.
We claim 1. The compound ornament a a, cast upon and forming part of any stove, substantially as herein shown and described.
2. The combination of the compound ornaments at a with the ornamental border-molding 0 0, arranged together and cast upon any stove, substantially as herein shown and described.
