Description
W. BAGINSKY.
APPARATUS FOR THE DISINFEGTION OF CLOSET SEATS.
APPLIOATION FILED APR. 19, 1910.

WILHELM BAGINSKY, OF K5NIGSBERG, GERMANY.
APPARATUS FOR THE DISINFECTION OF CLOSET-SEATS.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed 98 1,73 1. Patented Feb. 21, 1911.
April 19, 1910. Serial No. 556,437.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILI-IELM BAGINSKY, a subject of the German Emperor, and resident of Konigsberg, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Apparatus for the Disinfection of Closet-Seats, of which the following is a specification.
The object of the present invention is to effect a disinfection of closet-seats, whereby much disease will be avoided and a great inconvenience removed.
As this apparatus can be applied to all existing closets and its installation is not expensive, it must prove a benefit for all mankind.
In the accompanying drawing an embodiment of the invention is'illustrated.
Figure 1 is a general view of the apparatus, Fig. 2 an inside view of the cover, Fig. 3 a cross-section of the cover, Fig. 4: a side-view of the device partly in section, and Fig. 5 a back-view partly in section.
The apparatus consists of the air-pump a, the disinfection-receptacle b and the distribution-tube 0.
In raising the cover d, the piston e is pressed downward by means of the fork f, and air will be sucked in. In closing the cover this air will, by means of the piston which is drawn upward, be pressed through the tube 9 into the disinfection-receptacle b which is filled with a discrete or powdery disinfection-substance. The medicated air passes through the tube h into the distribution-tube 0, whence it is squeezed by pressure upon the seat. Thereby the injurious particles are either disinfected and blown away, or the remaining neutralized as germs of disease.
Having fully what I claim and Patent is Apparatus for the disinfection of closet seats comprising an air pump operatively connected with the seat cover, a receptacle filled with disinfecting substance and connected with said air pump, a perforated dis tribution tube connected with said receptacle and attached to said seat cover and adapted to lie on the edge of the seat hole when the cover is closed, and adapted to deliver medicated air to disinfect the seat.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
WILHELM BAGIN SKY.
described my invention, desire to secure by Letters Witnesses:
