The Schedule referred to in. these Letters `Patent and making part of the vsame count-y of Sandusky, and State of Ohio, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Coopers 'Pools and I do'll'ereby 'declare-that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference markedthereon, which forma part -of this specification, in which the figurey in the anneited drawingrepresents a plan view of my Coopers tool. ,y 'Y
The nature of my invention consists in constructing i a coopers tool in the manner and for the purpose set forth. 1
A and B represent the two blades of my invention, and i i j 'd e designate the shanksof the same. The blades A and B are joined together by the pivot s. To the end ot' shatte is pivoted the plate C, the said plate being pivoted at its opposite end lto `the operating-lever D.
The shank d terminates inthe holder E,'whi'ch`may be made pointed for the purposeof being driven into a solid block, when the tool is to be operated, or a receptaclc in the block or bench may be made for it.
When the holder is secured in the manner described,
the blades are made to perform their office by alternately raising and lowering the handle or operating lever D, which acts on plate C, and plate C acts simultaneously on shank e -andy blade A, and blade A, in conjunction with stationary blade B, performs the cntting-process.
I ani aware that there is no novelty in the peculiar construction Aof the parts which compose this invention, and therefore lay no claim specially to them; but
