Be it known that I, JOSEPH KENNEDY, a citizen of the United States, and resident of the borough of Manhattan, city, county, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Im rovements in Toggle-Bolts, of which the ollowing is a specification accom anied by drawings.

The form of the anchor bar is such that the bolt may assume a position substantially parallel to the anchor bar. When the anchor ar is in position as indicated in Fig. 2, the bent portion extends into the aperture B and firmly seats the anchor bar in position.

1. A toggle bolt comprising an anchor bar consisting of a piece of metal centrally bent into U-sha ed form to form a transverse recess an provided with a longitudinal slot in said centrally bentdportion, a

bolt adapted to pass through sai slot, and a nut on said bolt.

2. A toggle bolt comprising an anchor bar wardly extending legs, and a central retainin loop forming a transverse recess and proconsisting of a piece of metal having out-- side of said central bent portion, one side and the base of said U-sha ed portion being longitudinally slotted, a ho t adapted to pass through said slot and a nut on said bolt.
