Description

R. H. KLAUDBR.
v HOSE SUPEORTER. APPLICATION FILED JUNE 24; 1908.
' 975,364, Patented' Nov. 8,1910.
Wl TA/ESSES: VVE/V705 RUDOLPH H. KLAUDER, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
HOSE-SUPPORTER.
Application filed .Tune 24:, 1908.
To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, RUDOLPH H. KLAUDER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful I-Iose- Supporter, of which the following is a specification.
The principal object of the present invention is to provide a hose supporter which shall be practically indestructible under ordinary conditions of wear and use, and which shall not only be comfortable but reliable in maintaining its own position and in holding the hose.
To these ends 'the invention comprises the hose supporter to be presently described and the invention itself will be pointed out in the claims.
Referring to the drawings which illustrate one embodiment of the invention Figure 1, is a perspective view of the supporter, and Fig. 2, is a side view illustrating the same in use.
In the drawings l and 2, are a pair of members which, as shown in the drawings, are duplicates of each other. These members are made of resilient flexible material and as shown each of them is provided intermediate of its length and at one edge with a notch 3 and near its end on the opposite edge with a notch 4. The ends may be rounded as shown as at 5. The notches 3 are made to engage each other and they serve as a pivotal connection between the members. The notches 4 may be made to engage each other and a portion of the top of the hose, thus serving to attach it to the supporter. The free ends of the members are bent or shaped to conform to the con- Specification of Letters Iatent.

tour of the leg. They not only by their resilience hold the supporter in place upon the leg, but they also and when in position upon the leg, tend to bring the notched ends of the members together, thus causing them to firmly grip the top of the hose. The portions of the members adjacent to the notches 3, are crossed as shown.
`What I claim is,
l. A hose supporter comprising a pair of resilient flexible strips having their intermediate portions in pivotal relation and having one end of each strip adapted to conform to the leg of the user and having the other end of each strip adapted to co-act with its mate to hold the top of a stocking, substantially as described.
2. A hose supporter comprising a pair of resilient flexible members each notched at one edge intermediate of its length and at the other edge near one of its ends, said intermediate notches being adapted for engagement with each other to constitute a pivotal connection and said other notches adapted to coact to engage a stocking, substantially as described.
3. A hose supporter comprising a pair of resilient flexible members having intermediate of their ends notches that engage each other and having one end of both strips bent to conform to the contour of the leg and having the other end of both strips crossed and notched for engaging a stocking, substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name.
RUDOLPH H. KLAUDER.
