Letters Patent No. 97,475, dated December 7, 1869; mztedated November 20, 1869.
IMPROVEMENT IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF PRESERVING-HOUSES.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part f the same.
To all/whom it 'may concern Be it known that I, HARRISON BLACKBURN, of the' county of Bedford, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Preserving-Houses, of which the following is a full, clear, and
V exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification.
The object of my invention is to improve that class of prcserving-honses in which ice is used for cooling Or reducing the' temperature. y
.To enable others skilled in the art to make and -nse my' invention, I will proceed to describe its conmarket, which vessels, when llcd, I place in said room, with ice packed around them.

I claim the combination, in an ice-house, of thc case A, the ice-roomnB, provided with doors D D, for putting in the ice, and obtaining access tothe case A, respectively, and false partition E, and the packing-room F, with door 2, substantially as shown and set forth.
