To all whom it may concern:
Be 1t known that I, CI-IARtnas FRAXoIs J nxiuxs', citizen of the United States, resid- .ing at Washington, District of Columbia,
have invented certain new and useful I1nprovements in Mailing-Folders, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to mailing folders employed for advertising and other purposes where an answer is invited, and the preferred form thereof is illustrated in the acin whicheompanying drawings,
showing the Figure l is a perspective view folder with its insert, ready for mailing,
This postal card is inscribed on the face with the senders name and address, and on the back, on the part concealed in Fig. 1, with a message, and the signature and ad dress thereto, the latter being so located (at the'bottom of the card) as to be exposed below the slit in the fold.
\Vhen the card is inserted and the sheet folded, the sticker C is fastened over the fold and the adjacent ed e of the card. This not only prevents any sflifting of the card, but in a most effective manner holds the fold down making it an acceptable piece of mail matter.
It is obvious that modifications of the form shown are possible, and of course I do not wish to limit myself to this particular form only.
\Vhat I claim as my invention, is-
A folded letter sheet the outside fold'of which is slotted, an insert in said slot so arranged as to expose a portion thereof, said exposed portion containing the name and address of the party for Whom the folder is intended, and means for fastening the exposed portion of the insert to the folded letter sheet.
