Description
ITE STATES DATEN T OFFICE MARIE J'. EIDAM, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
SPOOL-HOLDER.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARIE J. EIDAM, a citizen of the United States, residing at- Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Spool-Holders, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in spool holders and is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, wherein- Figure 1 is a plan view with parts cut away; Fig. 2, a section along the line 2 2 of Fig. l; Fig. 3, a side elevation of the device.
Like parts are indicated by the same letter in all the gures.
The flat plate A is provided along one edge with a plurality of upwardly eXtending spring lugs A1 and a. series of like spring lugs A2 parallel with the lugs A1 and located within the surface of the plate. The rods B engaging the holes B2 in the lugs Al A2, carry the spools B3. The holes C form guides for the thread C1 from the spools B3. The holes D beneath the spools B3 permit the operator to grasp the spools from the rear in order to prevent their rotation when this is desirable. The pin cushion E is located in the opening El in the plate A and may be attached to the plate by means of the cords E2 passing through the holes E3. The upwardly extending hooks F upon t-he bot tom of the plate provide a hanger for the scissors F1 or any other useful implement and the upwardly extending hooks F 2 pro` vide a support for the emery bag F3 and pouch Ft. The plate is supported by means of the hook G and chains G1 in the holes G2.
The use and operation of my invention are as follows Itis always desirable when sewing is being done, to havesome means whereby needles, scissors, etc. may be attached to the person or held together upon the machine or any other desirable location. My invention provides means for this,
