Be it known that I, Enwmam, residing at Niagara Falls, in the county of Niagara and State of New York, have m- I vented certain new-and useful Improvements in Manifolding Sales-Books, of which the following'is a full, clear, and exact descri tion, such as will enable others skilled in t e art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to sales books and the like. One of the objects thereof is to provide a simple and eflicient device of the above nature in which features of prior constructions conducive to rapid and convenient manipusuch additional elements or features that many of the defects inherent in former devices are done away with.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is: a

In a device of the class described, in combination, a pad comprising a plurality of leaves connected end to end in a contmu ousstrip, and a staple the ends of which exbeneath tend upwardly through said pad adjacent leaves being provided with registering slits extending beneath said bent portions of said staple.

In a device of the class described, in combination, a pad comprising a plurality of leaves connected end to end in a cont1nu ous strip, and a staple the ends of which extend u wardly through said pad adjacent one en thereof and are bent toward one another 11 on the upper surface or the'pad, said leaves ing provided with registering slits extending beneath said bent portions of said staple, and said slits being so formed and disposed as to leave an integral ortion of each leaf between the end of its slit and the adjacent portion of the staple passing throu h the ad.
