IMPROVED SASH-PULLEY.

My invention consists 'in a cheap, simple,and eective construction of sash-pulley, housing, or boxing, in three castings.

A is the oblong rectangular face-platebf the boxing, said plate having the customary central slot a for a common sheave, B, and holes a for the wood-screws, whereby the pulley is fastened in ,its stile.
Projecting from the rear sidefj o'f the plate A-are stumps C C', whose recesses, c c', are adapted to receive and hold lugs dll', which project from the cheeks D D'. The checks D 1) have circular orifices E, which serve as the journal-bcarings of the sheave.
Cast within thc stumps C C are two wrought-iron lips, F F', which, being clenched over the lugs d d', as shown in fig. 1, hold them securely within their conining-notches or recesses c c'. The lips F F may, it' desired, be eut from ordinary round wire, and so used.
It will be seen that my pulley-boxing consist-s of three very simple members, capable of being cast without cores irra common green-sand mould.
The lugs ll d' being wedged firmly into the recesses c c' by the clenched lips F F', are firmly held together by the sides oi' the recesses.
I claim, as my invention- The sash-pulley boxing herein described, consisting of the three members, A, I), and D', the cheek-plates I) D being secured together, and t-o the face-plate A,
-by stumps C C and lips F F', substantially as ex plained.
