' The primary object of my invention to provide apistol consisting of comparatively few arts, easily assembled, safely 0 rated 'an easily a e condition.
Another object of this invention is to provide a magazine pistol with 'a novelsafety device adapted to revent thepistol from being accidentally ischarged.
' A further object of the invention is to provide a pistol of the above type with a novel shell extractor adapted when moved in one direction to extract a shell and set the trigger. and when released reload the barrel witha cartridge.
Withhe above and such other objects in view -as may hereinafter appear, the invention consists of the novel construction, com: bination and arrangement of parts to he hereinafter specifically described and then claimed.

If it is desired to carry the revolver with a cartridge in the barrel and the firing pin and trigger ready for use, the safety device on the side plate 6 can be set to lock the sear 5t; and thus prevent accidental discharge of the weapon. The safety device can be easily shifted with the thumb while the hand is gripping the handle portion of the revolver and almost simultaneously with the shifting of the safety device the trigger 51 can be pulled to shift the sear 56 and release the-firing pin 39; The reduced end 40 of the firing pin can be arranged relatii ely to the body of the firing pin, whereby either center or rim firing cartridges can be used.
