IMPROVED CLOTHES-DRIER.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters ,Patent and making part of the same To all whom it may concerny Be it known that I, L. J. ADAMS, of Hoosick Falls,
i county of Rennsselaer, and State of New York, have -invented a new and useful Improvement in Clothes- Bars; and I do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, and exact description' thereof', which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification.
This invent-ion relates to improvements in the construction of that class of clothes-bars made in frames or panels, and hinged together, so as to swing open on the hinge-joints horizontally, when standing on 'one end.
cross-bars C, arranged in pairs, and of two or more pairs, and the other frames Imake of one post, D, and
single cross-bars E', the latter preferably alittle shorter than the bars C.
The ends of the bars E, not provided with a post, I pivot between the bars C, close tothe post A, bybolts` or pins F, passing through the bars C and the said bars E.
By another arrangement, I may enlarge the ends oi' the bars E, and pass the post A through holes therein, using that as the pivot or axis of the said hars E, which, in this case, I would make longer than the -hars C.
This arrangement makes a strong, simple, and desirableclothes-iiame, which will .open arolind a common centre, and occupy less available room than the common arrangement.
Having thus described my invention,

The combination, with the panel or iame,composcd of the posts A B and bars C, arranged in pairs, of the frames, consist-ing of the lposts I) and bars C, when the said barsD are pivoted between the bars C,eit-her to bolts F or the posts A, 'substantially as specified.
