Fig. 3 is a frontelevation, showing the invention attached to a pocket of a garment. Fig. 4 is a vertical 1 sectional view. Fig. 5 is a detail perspective view of a modified form of the invention. Fig. 6 IS an end view thereof.

Said spurs 5 are preferably arranged so that their penetrating points project in opposite directions, thereby resisting the tendency of saidstrip to slip in either direction across said body. its an additional safeguard, the abrasive material may have a coating of glue or other adhesive material on its back.
In assembling the improved match sci-atelier, the abrasive strip is placed against, one surface of the body, and the end flanges 2 thereof are turned over on said strip with its spurs in position to engage therewith. The resilient hanger hooks are then engaged over an edge of a pocket, or other portion of a garment and the device is retained in position ready for contact with matches, as is shown in Fig. 2). To replace the abrasive strip, the said end flanges may be readily bent outwardly, and said strip stripped from the body, whereupon a new strip may be substituted.
In Figs. 5 and 6 a modification of the invention is suggested in which the hanger books 4 are replaced by a hook 6 provided with a penetrating point 7. Said hook may be in the form of a thin rod and is adapted either for engagement over an edge of a garment, or maybe forced through the same.
