BAYNE, a citi- "z/.en of the United States, residing at Verdigris, 1n the county of Knox and State of' Nebraska, havefinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding Shipping- Crates: and Idohereby declare the following to be a full. clear. and exact description of the invention7 such as will enable 'others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same..

My invention relates to new and useful improvements in shipping crates and especially to the class which are adapted to be, folded when not in use. or for the return of the same when the contents have been removed. and it has for an object to provide, a novel manner for hinging the various inclosing walls.

Furtherobjects will be brought out more clearly in the following specifications and claim.

Referring to the drawings which form a part of the accompanying specifications. Figure 1. is a perspective view. Fig. Q is a plan view in section with the top broken away. Fig. 3 is a vertical end elevation in .section ltaken on the line in Fig. 2. Fig. lis a central vertical section.

In carrying out my invention I preferably use galvanized sheet iron or tin plate.though I do not desire to restrict. myself to any particular material, but endeavor to use the most serviceable material combined with lightness in weight.

It is my purpose to provide a folding crate which will stand a large amount of wear and tear. also one which has its walls so hinged as to be readily folded when it is desired to ship the crate after the contents of the crate have been withdrawn.
