Application filed November 15 1909. Serial No. 528,077.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, NICOLAS CAnUso and CnsAnn Caruso, subjects of the. King of Italy, residing at Tarentum, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain newand useful Improvements in Cuspidor-Uleaners, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to a device for cleaning euspidors, and the invention has for its object the provision of simple and eflcctive means for gripping a cuspidor and lowering a sponge or similar cleansing device into a cuspidor and revolving the same to remove filth and foreign matter that adheres to theinner sidesof a cuspidor.
A further object of the invention is to provide a device that can be. used for carrying cuspidors and cleaning various kinds of receptacles, the device being cheap to manufacture, easy to manipulate, and highly ellicient for the purposes for which it is intended.

Having now described our inventiomwhat we claim as new, is:
1. A device of the type described, COlYlfi prising; a pair of pivoted levers gripping: heads carried by the lower-endsof said levers a frame movably mounted at the upper end of one of said levers, a rod revolubly supported on said frame and by the lever supporting said frame, means carried by said frame for revolving said rod, and a cleaning device detachably mounted upon the lower end of said rod.
